Tinubu didn't cause hunger in Nigeria, APC Chieftain, Emami tells organisers of planned nationwide protest
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State, Chief Ayirimi Emami today said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not cause the hunger ravaging the nation adding that, it is a problem that inherited by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Chief Emami made the assertion in a chat with newsmen during the Ologbotsere Day Celebration held in Ubeji, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to him, agreed that people are suffering all over the country but hunger is one of the problems the President inherited when he took over the reigns of power.
He stressed that the hunger in the land was as a result of the wrong foundation President Tinubu inherited in his government which he is struggling to contend with.
Chief Emami said, although, the plan protest is ideal in any democratic nation as Nigeria, he said the manner with which the organisers of the planned nationwide would want to go about is not ideal.
Chief Emami however advised them(would be protesters) to be cautious and peaceful in their actions and planned protests adding that anything contrary to that, would make their planned protest useless.
His words: "Anything contrary to that makes your planned protest to become stupid."
According to him, they(would be protesters) should not allow anyone to hijack their protest, pointing out that, the President is working out modalities to tackle hunger headlong as well as ensure that the citizens get better welfare and live in satisfaction.
