5TH YEAR CORONATION ANNIVERSARY: Oborevwori Celebrates Olu Of Warri, Atuwatse III
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has felicitated with the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, on the fifth anniversary of his coronation, commending the monarch for his contributions to peace, unity and development in Warri Kingdom.
The governor, in a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, described the Olu as a peace-loving and visionary traditional ruler whose reign had strengthened harmony and fostered greater cooperation among the people of the kingdom and beyond.
Oborevwori said Atuwatse III had, over the past five years, demonstrated exemplary leadership and played a significant role in promoting the socio-economic revival of Warri Kingdom.
He noted that the monarch's commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Itsekiri people, while promoting peaceful coexistence with other ethnic groups, had contributed immensely to stability and development in the state.
The governor described the Olu as “a man of peace, a bridge-builder and a person of profound integrity,” whose reign had continued to inspire confidence and positive changes in the lives of his subjects.
He urged the people of Warri Kingdom to continue to support the monarch and remain patient as he pursues his vision for a more united, peaceful and prosperous Iwere nation.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I warmly felicitate His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, on the occasion of his fifth coronation anniversary.
“Over the past five years, His Majesty has distinguished himself through responsible traditional leadership, dedication to the welfare of his people and commitment to the preservation of the customs and traditions of the Itsekiri nation.
“His reign has also been marked by efforts to promote peace, unity, socio-cultural cooperation and harmonious relationships between the Itsekiri and other ethnic nationalities in Delta State.
“I celebrate His Majesty on this auspicious occasion and pray that God will continue to grant him sound health, wisdom and strength to provide purposeful traditional and cultural leadership for his people,” the governor said.
