The Deputy Senate President of the 9th Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege on Thursday August 21 appealed to the people of Uvwie Local Government Area to send him back to the Senate for him to continue from where he stopped for better representation by voting out the incumbent member representing the people of Delta Central Senatorial District and the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori out of office. Omo-Agege made the appeal when he officially commenced his campaign as the 2027 election draws near.

Omo-Agege said he fought assiduously to ensure the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic, Nigeria Aerospace School, Orogun and other institutions in Delta State.

"When the Defence Space School in Nigeria was to be established, one was going to Northern Nigeria and another was going to Western Nigeria but I put my foot down to fight for it."

According to him, with the four trillion naira received by the state, pupils still sit on bare floor to learn in some schools across the State.
