Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, Commences Tour of Olomu Communities Ahead of First Coronation Anniversary
His Royal Majesty, Albert Akpomudje, SAN, Eyavwien-Alaka I, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, will Thursday commenced a tour of communities across the kingdom as part of activities prelude to the first anniversary of his coronation.
The royal tour, which is aimed at strengthening the bond between the traditional institution and the people, will take the Ohworode to various communities within Olomu Kingdom, where he will interact with chiefs, elders, youths, women and other members of the communities.
The Royal tour was announced by the learned monarch during a chat with media after a general meeting of Chiefs and leaders.
The visits are also expected to provide an opportunity for the monarch to familiarise himself with the people and receive feedback on issues affecting the different communities.
During the tour, the Ohworode will be received by Community leaders and residents, who have expressed appreciation for his leadership and commitment to the development and unity of Olomu Kingdom.
The first anniversary of the monarch’s coronation which comes up in November is expected to provide an opportunity for the people of Olomu Kingdom to celebrate his reign and reflect on developments recorded since his ascension to the traditional throne.
The ongoing community tour is therefore being seen as an important part of the anniversary activities, with the monarch using the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to peace, unity, cultural preservation and sustainable development across the kingdom.
The tour is expected to continue till September, as the kingdom prepares for the first anniversary celebration of the coronation of HRM Albert Akpomudje, SAN.
The anniversary is anticipated to attract traditional rulers, government officials, political leaders, dignitaries, indigenes of Olomu Kingdom and friends of the kingdom.
