Delta State Govt, SANs, NBA others console Dr. Ayo Asala over mother’s death

The Delta State Government, Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), judiciary stakeholders, political associates, friends, and sympathizers have continued to pour tributes and condolences to renowned legal practitioner, Dr. Ayo Asala SAN, following the passing of his mother, Mrs. Florence Omoseke Asala.

Late Mrs. Florence Omoseke Asala 80, described by family members and associates as a virtuous, compassionate, and God-fearing matriarch, reportedly passed on peacefully after a fulfilled life devoted to family, community service, and Christian values.

In separate condolence messages, prominent personalities and professional colleagues of Dr. Asala SAN expressed deep sorrow over the loss, noting that the late Mrs. Asala lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.

The Delta State Government, in its condolence message, sympathized with the Asala family, praying God to grant them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Similarly, several Senior Advocates of Nigeria from Delta State and leaders of the Nigerian Bar Association Udu Branch described the deceased as a woman whose legacy of integrity, discipline, and kindness would continue to inspire generations.

A delegation of NBA members who visited the family residence said Dr. Asala SAN had always demonstrated commitment to the legal profession and humanity, adding that the legal community shares in his grief during this difficult period.

Friends, associates, and well-wishers also took to various platforms to extol the virtues of the late matriarch, recalling her peaceful disposition, generosity, and unwavering support for humanity.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Dr. Ayo Asala SAN appreciated everyone who has identified with the family through prayers, visits, phone calls, and messages of support.

He described his late mother as “a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love,” adding that her memories and values would remain forever cherished by the family.


Details of the funeral arrangements, according to the family are schedule for Thursday, 21st May and Friday, 22nd May 2026 at Ogbe in Yagba West LGA of Kogi State.
