You Are the First of Your Kind in Urhoboland, NBA Eulogises Albert Akpomudje SAN, Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Udu Branch on Friday said that, renowned legal luminary, HRM Albert Akpomudje, SAN, FCIArb, Eyavwie-Alaka I, the Ohworode of Olomu kingdom is the first of his Kind to become monarch in Urhoboland. 

The Branch made the remarks during a scheduled courtesy visit by a powerful delegation of leaders and members. 

The emergence of Akpomudje who is the Vice Chairman, Body of Benchers of Nigeria has continued to elicit hope and excitement.

Akpomudje who doubles as the President General World Wide of Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association was crowned as the 14th Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom on 15th November, 2025.

Dr. Ayo Asala SAN who led the delegation described him as “the first of your kind monarch in Urhoboland.”

Chief Asala noted that Akpomudje is a core-bar-man who has participated in key activities of Udu Branch including hosting several meetings and restoring peace. 

In his address, the Chairman of the Udu NBA, Edmund Odohisi extolled the monarch’s sterling achievements at the Bar, noting that his elevation to the revered stool of Ohworode marks a historic moment for both the legal profession and traditional institutions in Urhobo nation.

“Your Majesty, all my leaders have said I adopt same and prayed for you to reign very long." He said. 

Earlier on his part, a notable leader of the Branch and former Delta State Attorney General, Andrew Orugbo that Akpomudje's emergence depicts the shift in Urbobo people choosing their best to lead. 

According to him, "Your Majesty, you are indeed the first of your kind monarch in Urhoboland,” Orugbo declared. 

“A distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria ascending the throne of your forefathers is not only historic but symbolic of excellence, integrity, and service.”

Also, Chairman of Wetland Group, Richard Kpedi urged Akpomudje to capitalized on the vast potentials that abound in Olomu kingdom to bring about huge investment and development. 

"Your Majesty, your emergence will bring about development opportunities to Olomu and I urge you to tap the vast blue economy potentials that abound here." Kpedi added. 

Eyavwie-Alaka I appreciated leaders and members of the Udu Branch for the encomiums and support. 

He promised to do his best to bring about fast and copious development of Olomu kingdom, urging NBA to always pray for him. 

"Am elated and emotional whenever am with my learned colleagues. I cherish your support and advice, I promise to do my best" He said.
