Beneficiaries of the ongoing six-month ICT training programme organized by Tompolo Foundation, Tantita Security Services, and PEB ICT have expressed deep appreciation to the sponsors for what they described as a life-changing initiative aimed at equipping young people in Delta state with digital skills for the modern economy.

Speaking at the close of the first three-month phase of the training, which covers computer fundamentals, graphics, data analysis, cyber-security,  information systems, and lots more, several participants praised the quality, depth, and hands-on approach of the programme while calling for its continuation and expansion.

"I’ve learnt so much in the last three months things I never knew about computers and the internet.

"I want to thank Tantita Security Services, Tompolo Foundation, and PEB ICT for this great opportunity. They are doing amazingly well, and I hope they continue. This programme is improving our productivity and learning capacity as young people,” said Cynthia Osika, one of the trainees.

Another beneficiary, Mike Ogeti, commended the organizers for blending practical knowledge with real-world engagement.

"We’ve started initiatives like the Rebrand Warri Campaign as a result of this training, and it’s already making a positive impact on local businesses, we’re looking forward to more interactive learning in the next phase. Special thanks to our sponsors, and to Dr. Paul of PEB ICT. God bless you all," Mike stated.

Also speaking, Comrade Governor Ekpokeme described the programme as innovative and essential.

"This kind of training is needed in every aspect of our lives. I thank PEB ICT, Tantita Security, and Tompolo Foundation for putting this together. Everyone involved in this programme will come out better and more equipped.”

Miene Deborah, another participant, echoed similar gratitude, she said, "I’ve learned a lot in just three months. I thank PEB ICT, Tantita, and Tompolo Foundation for giving us this opportunity. We’re excited about the next three months.”

The instructors and coordinators of the programme expressed that, the participants welcomed the initiative and were very eager to learn. Dr. Chris Egbefo, a cybersecurity instructor and data analyst with the programme, described the first phase as engaging and rewarding.

"The students showed maturity and eagerness to learn. It was an awesome experience. I look forward to even more dedication and innovation in the next phase," he said.

Coordinator of the programme, Moses Major, provided a comprehensive overview of the first half of the six-month journey.

"It’s been an exciting and fulfilling experience. Despite early challenges with attendance and commitment, we maintained our target of 100 active beneficiaries. Those who didn’t take the training seriously were replaced with more committed candidates.”

He added that the programme concluded its first half with a student presentation session, describing it as “a blast” and a confidence-building exercise for the trainees.

As the training enters a short one-week break to allow for restructuring and preparation, both participants and organizers are optimistic about the second phase. With renewed focus and a committed cohort, the programme continues to deliver on its goal: empowering the youth with relevant ICT skills for personal growth and regional development.

"We are building a future-ready generation,” Major said. “And the credit goes to Tompolo Foundation, Tantita Security Services, and PEB ICT for their vision and investment in people.”
