Emerging Tech Talents Partake In First Presentations/Assessment

Cybersecurity students kick off presentations and computer basic students wrote their test today
Two months into an intensive six-months digital skills training program, 100 participants sponsored by the Tompolo Foundation, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, and PEB ICT Services is already demonstrating remarkable progress—so much so that trainees are now teaching and evaluating each other.
The training, which aims to equip participants with highly sought-after digital competencies, includes hands-on sessions in:
* ✅ Computer Basics
* ✅ Graphics Design
* ✅ Cybersecurity
* ✅ Web Development
* ✅ Data Analysis
As part of their curriculum, cybersecurity students recently participated in a peer-led presentation session to assess their grasp of core concepts. Under the guidance of their instructor, Dr. Eigbefoh Christopher, each trainee was evaluated on both technical understanding and presentation skills.
One standout moment came when cybersecurity trainee Mr. Ukolowadhe Ununoforede John delivered an impressive lecture, earning praise for his clarity and depth of knowledge.
Similar peer-assessment exercises are scheduled in the coming weeks for students in Computer Basics, Graphics Design, and Web Development, ensuring all trainees are keeping pace with the program.
The initiative doesn’t stop at training alone. Participants receive monthly stipends to help cover transportation and basic living costs. The learning environment is fully equipped with modern training facilities and uninterrupted power supply, thanks to a combination of diesel generators and solar power systems.
By offering practical, career-ready skills in a digitally evolving world, the Tompolo Foundation and its partners are bridging the digital divide and preparing participants for opportunities in the global digital economy.
This is more than a training programme—it’s a pathway to economic empowerment, self reliance, empowerments and digital inclusion.
As the initiative continues, beneficiaries are not only gaining marketable knowledge but also building a foundation for long-term career success in the tech-driven future.
