Human Right Activist urges FG to treat Nigeria Police like Army as regards pension Scheme

A human right activist, Comrade(Amb) Derrick Oritsematosan Agberen today said the Nigeria Police force should be treated like Nigerian Army as regards pension Scheme otherwise the Police Pension contributory scheme would be seen as a scam.
Comrade Agberen in a statement sent to Our Correspondent said, "I am not surprised at the retired DSP’s narration."
According to Comrade Agberen, "How will one serve his/her country for 35 years and yet be given ₦1.7m as gratuity?
"This means that the Nigeria Government pays this woman ₦48,571.4 per year, so if divided by 12 months to get monthly pay ₦4,047? It sounds so ridiculous and nonsensical."
Comrade Agberen urged the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's led Federal Government to treat retired Police Officers like their Army Counterpart in the Country saying,"It is very unethical to put the Police Force officers on contributory pension."
