2027: AREWA Community adopts Gov. Oborevwori of Delta for second tenure

Ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Delta State, the Arewa Community in Warri today adopted Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as their candidate.  

Spokesman of Arewa Community, HRH. Alhaji Zuberu Mohammed Tajudeen disclosed this in an interview with Our Correspondent.

Alhaji Tajudeen who is also the Etsu-Nupe of Warri of Warri and its environs said the Arewa people adopted Governor Sheriff Oborevwori because he provided the popular Hausa quarters street light. 

"With only street light, we have already adopted His Excellency, RT.Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as our own candidate for 2027 election."

Alhaji Tajudeen noted that Governor Oborevwori recently awarded the contract for the construction of Hausa Quarters, College of Commerce and Mosque Roads,  amongst others in the area. 

He pointed out that before now,  he(Alhaji Tajudeen) had written to various governments' interventionists agencies including the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC) and others for the past seventeen years to come to their rescue and fix the road but all failed.

According to Alhaji Tajudeen,"His Excellency RT.Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori came this year, and awarded the road contracts. Everybody especially the  blind people and beggars that are staying  with me are happy when they heard that the  road has been awarded for  construction. They are all  praying for the Governor and  they promised that  in the next  election, All AREWA, whether they are in  APC, in any  other party, they are voting for him to continue second tenure".

He assured the Governor that the AREWA people will give him 100% support by voting for him.

Alhaji Tajudeen said there's constant light in the area stressing that, they now enjoy power. "See it, they brought this light around 10pm on Thursday, January 2 and till now, it's there this morning 9am. 

He said this was made possible because of the efforts of Governor Oborevwori whom he said, has been doing well for the Arewa people. 

He also prayed God Almighty to continue to bless him(Oborevwori) for them. "For us, we have prayed before the new year for him that the good work he had done last year, God should let him continue this year. That work will earn him victory come 2027 general elections", he concluded.
