NNPCL affirms commitment to merit-based employment, free from ethnic bias
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reiterated its commitment to merit-based employment, promotions, and appointments, dismissing claims of ethnic bias.
According to Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPCL, the company's decisions are guided strictly by merit, business requirements, and expertise.
Soneye emphasized that the NNPCL prides itself on being a professional organization with a diverse leadership lineup, including individuals from various parts of the world. He noted that the company's focus on efficient and effective service delivery is anchored on the commitment of a qualified work team.
In response to concerns raised by Farooq Kperogi, Soneye stated that the NNPCL has achieved remarkable milestones under the leadership of Mele Kyari, without being influenced by ethnic or religious affiliations. These milestones include groundbreaking advancements in exploration, production, and global partnerships.
The NNPCL has also extended an invitation to Kperogi to visit the company and witness its professionalism and commitment to meritocracy. Soneye emphasized that the company remains committed to fostering unity, embracing diversity, and upholding the principles of meritocracy.
