Harshship in Nigeria has made me engage in strenuous job says, Delta Pregnant widow

A thirty three year old pregnant widow, Gift Eddy was spotted at building construction site working as a labourer at a site behind Word of Life Bible Church, Enerhen in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State. When interrogated, Mrs. Eddy said, she does the labour work because there is harshship in the country. The woman who was seen loading head-pan with mixed concrete with other women in the same site said, "I don't have a husband. He is late. I came to work on Sunday because there's no food at home. "Life is hard". 

Mrs. Eddy said: "To eat is a problem" as Nigeria's economy gets harder by the day with the cost of petrol and food commodities keep rising daily". 

Mrs. Eddy who is from Oyede Community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State said, she cannot sit down idle  because the children need to go school and they and she  herself need to eat.

In a chat with Our Correspondent in Warri at the site, the mother of three, a boy and two girls who was seen with a heavy tummy said: "It is the  hardship that's why l am doing this kind of job. Ordinarily,  l would  not   be doing  strenuous work like this? I don't have a husband. He is late."

Mrs. Eddy said,  she became pregnant before the demise of her husband not long ago stressing that she's due for delivery for her fourth child. 

Mrs. Eddy appealed to TANTITA Security Services Nigeria Limited and High Chief(Dr ) Oweizide Government Ekpemupolo Alias Tompolo,well meaning Nigerians and the Delta State Government to come to her aid financially and support the well being of her children including their education. 

According to her: "I need support. Anybody can help. Tompolo and Nigerians please come and help me."
