Egbema Communities appoint Gen. Super new CSO, develop MoU for new oil company
The Ugbo-Amakubu host communities of Ugbo marginal field, covering about ten oil producing communities in Egbema Kingdom, Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State recently appointed General Super Kamboh as their new Chief Security Officer, CSO.
The host communities are: Olerugbo Community, Arotogbene community, Ebigbene community, Aririgbene community, Sorogbene community, Okpoyegbene community, Ayekpaghagbene community, Akpigbene community, Ubinigbene community, and Ojijagbene community.
This is coming as Enerog Nigeria Limited, an oil company recently acquired Ugbo oil wells in Amakubu Creek.
PEBNEWS reports that the communities which expressed confidence in Gen. Super, further developed standardised Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) template for negotiation between their host communities and Enerog Nigeria Limited.
Apostle Godfrey Ala-ebi, General Chairman covering the Amakubu communities, during a stakeholders meeting held at Ayekpaghagbene community to review the MoU between the host communities said, "We have selected Super Kamboh as our Chief Security Officer (CSO), he will be the one to man the company that is coming to this our environment. He has been doing this job for other companies, even Tantita, so we know, he can deliver.
"I advise everyone to embrace and accept and behave orderly. What we need is that, the company should come in peace and do their job in peace within a conducive atmosphere, where there is no rancour and misunderstanding.
"As a Security Officer, Super knows how to carryout the job that in any where there is no peace and more than his control, he should seat the host communities and report so that we can address the final concussion.
"We have selected Super, and that the company should have that confidence, as far the whole communities recommended him, he will be a very good security agent," he stated.
On his part, Ezekiel Lucky, Amakubu Youth President, supported the appointment and urged other youths for support, while calling for peace.
"General Super is a good man. He carries the youth along, we know him for long and nobody will testify bad of him.
"All the youths should support him, let him go ahead with the security contract and I stand to tell Enerog that General Super will handle this contract well, and we know, he will do well with us," he stated.
Responding to his appointment, General Super Kamboh promised not to fail the communities, stressing that he is a security expert and that the appointment is like plus one to him.
In his word, "Everybody knows that we're from the grassroot, and when it comes to security issues, we're experts, and we can analyse it anytime, any day.
"We have been waiting and praying for such a company like Enerog, and God has made it possible for us.
"Our communities' leaders, both the old and young, I think it's s a good one for choosing me to head the security aspect.
"My message to them is that since they've given me this mandate and authority, I will not fail them, I will make sure I do my possible best, but God will do the best for me. By telling them l will not disappoint them, it's a job we've been doing, I think this one is like an addition to me, it's plus one to me, I accept it and I will not disappoint them," he stated.
