Pere of Gbaramatu congratulates Ovie of Agbarha, calls for stronger relationship

His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom on Friday, congratulated Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Kingsley Emoakpo Orereh, Agbi II, the Ovie of Agbarha, Warri Kingdom on his presentation of staff of office by Delta State just as he called for stronger ties between the two Kingdoms.

PEBNEWS reports that the staff of office was presented to the Ovie of Agbarha by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who was represented by the Deputy Governor of the state, Sir Monday Onyeme.

In his message to the Ovie of Agbarha at the event, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom expressed his excitement to be part of the presentation of staff of office.

In his words, "On behalf of the peace loving people of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria, I, HRM, Oboro-Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom  extend to you royal greetings and l congratulate my brother and friend, HRM, Kingsley Emoakpo Orereh, Agbi II, the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom, on the Presentation of Staff of Office to you  by His Excellency, Rt.Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, on Friday June 21, 2024, at Ogunu Town, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. 

"It was a great pleasure and honour to be part of this epoch making event. And I called for a stronger relationship between our kingdoms.

"May your reign usher in Peace, Development and Prosperity to the people and residents of Agbarha Warri Kingdom. Amen!"

Speaking further, Pere of Gbaramatu said, "We have been leaving together for centuries, and with this  presentation of staff office, I believe, we are going to reignite the relationship and partnership  for progress."

In his address, Sir Monday Onyeme on behalf of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori congratulated the people of Agbarha kingdom for the epoch making event.

Part of his words, "Dear good people of Agbarha Warri, I appeal to you to ensure that the love and joy of today are deepened. You should all accord His Royal Majesty, all the respect and loyalty that his office demands. I urge all of you to be sincere and transparently honest in all your dealings with His Royal Majesty and give  every necessary assistance and co-operation to him to lighten the burden of his office," he said.

On his part, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor encouraged Ovie of Agbarha kingdom, the newly presented staff of office to work with other kings in making sure that there is  peace in Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general  adding that, peace is a vital tool to promote  Nigerians' revered culture.
