L.G Polls: I will key into the MORE AGENDA of the state government if elected into office - Gbogidi
Ahead of local government council election in Delta State, a frontline chairmanship aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Evang. Dafe Difference Gbogidi said he is ready to key into the MORE AGENDA of the state government if elected into office, adding that, sustainable peace and security of lives and property among the Urhobos and Ijaws will be his government's top priority.
The chairmanship hopeful, who is the Secretary General of Ewu Urhie Development Union gave this assurance in a chat with newsmen. He emphasized that, if elected into office, he would bring about meaningful developments to the council area, adding that the people at the grassroots will have the dividends of democracy.
He said, ”If elected into office, I will listen to the leaders of the party in Ughelli South Council Area and carry them along in all my doings.
“I will also bring about different skill acquisition programmes where the youths and women would be trained in the council area and I ensure that the economy of the council area is improved through sound education and mechanized agriculture", he added.
Evang. Dafe Difference Gbogidi used the medium to commend Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his intervention which paved way for quick release of Ewu Urhobo Monarch and withdrawal of Army from the Okuama Community. He also commended the state governor for his love and concern for the people of Ughelli South Local Government Area, especially for mobilizing the contractor handling the Orere Bridge that leads all Urhobo communities in the riverine areas to the site.
