Senator Dickson consoles Turner family, calls for collaboration between NDDC and State Governments
Senator Seriake Dickson, Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District has expressed his condolence to the family of Chief Gbalipre Turner over the death of late Mrs. Matilda Gbalipre Turner, his wife.
Senator Dickson speaking when he led a delegation of elders, political stakeholders, women and youths of Bayelsa West identified with Opume and Otuoke community as his home in Ogbia Local Government, stressing that the Turner Family is part of his family in Ogbia.The lawmaker on behalf of his family prayed God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and the family of the Turner and the entire Opume Community the fortitude to bear the loss.In another development, Senator Seriake Dickson has called for collaboration between the Niger Delta Development Commission
NDDC and all state governments especially Bayelsa State on projects that will change the lives of the people.
Senator Dickson made the call when he Chaired the 66th anniversary of Ayakoro community festival.
The lawmaker thanked the paramount ruler and chiefs of Ayakoro community for the honour of inviting him to chair the occasion and for their passion in celebrating their culture, tradition and history.While he thanked Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, MD NDDC for the developmental strides in Ayakoro community, prevailing peace and some of the development going on in other Communities across the state and the Niger Delta, he urged him to do more to collaborate with the state Government and other stakeholders across the state.He thanked the NDDC MD for the solar intervention in his Community and others in Bayelsa West and urged the people of Ayakoro community to pray, support and work with Dr. Ogbuku for peace as only a peaceful community can enjoy development.
