Some prominent Niger Delta stakeholders have commended High Chief Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo for the great job he has done with his Tantita Security Services in the pipeline surveillance contract. The commendation followed recent comment by Niger Delta Warlord, Alhaji Asari Dokubo wherein he accused military personnel of involvement in oil bunkering.HRM, King Obukohwo Monday Whiskey JP, Udurhie I, Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom said, "Tompolo has done his best, the Asari are doing their best. But these people, do they have the government instrumentality to challenge those military high caliber, high caliber government officials, high caliber Oil executives. "The Federal government should synergize with the traditional leadership of Oil Producing Communities. As critical stakeholders. We cannot be the one running from our communities every now and then, and the government makes all the money send there's nothing in return fir these people that watches over these Oil. "Look at all the things that the Tompolo and Tantita are doing yet the government cannot fund them properly. Where are we going? The man is taking the highest risk of its life protecting government installation here and there, but at the end of the month how can he pay his workers because government is not paying him yet. Adding his voice, Former Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare added, "Let us pay the Tompolos of this world some billions a month to continue the good work."That's what the Niger Delta people were asking for, that the oil was from their land, soil and they were not benefiting anything. So if by giving them the security contract, so be it, it is a win win."It is good that these boy have been formally told to do that because the boy got to discover that the intricate network of pipeline is not something an uninformed person can handle."
