The 8th edition of the Gbaramatu Prayer Day organized by the Gbaramatu Interdenominational Christian Fellowship has ended in Oporoza Town, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The three-day spiritual convergence, held from October 11 to 13, 2026, was themed "The Manifestation of Divine Glory", drawn from Isaiah 60:1-2.

This year's edition recorded a major impact beyond the altar, with a free medical outreach where over 600 patients received free medical services. The Chairman of the Fellowship, Pastor S.T. Ukuli, disclosed that drugs worth over N6 million were procured for the exercise, with doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists and technicians on ground to attend to beneficiaries.

In his opening address, Pastor Ukuli traced the origin of the programme.

"Eight years ago, a vision was born. What began as a burden in the hearts of a few men and women who desired to see the hand of God upon Gbaramatu Kingdom has, by the grace of God, grown into a powerful spiritual movement," he said.

According to him, the Prayer Day is more than an annual gathering.

"It is a spiritual altar raised for the glory of God. It is a platform where the church comes together across denominational lines to seek the face of God and intercede for our kingdom, our communities, our families, our leaders, our youths and future."

He appreciated pastors, ministers, community leaders, sponsors, volunteers and committee members who have sustained the programme over the years.

"However, this is not the time to look back alone. There is still a greater work ahead. Our kingdom, children, youths, leaders, churches and communities need our prayers," Ukuli stated.

"Therefore, I call upon every son and daughter of Gbaramatu Kingdom, both at home and in the diaspora, to join hands with us in this divine assignment. Let us put aside our differences and stand together in unity, because when God's people unite in prayer, heaven responds."

Giving further insight into the history, the Publicity Secretary/Mobilisation, Pastor Felix Famutua, said the Gbaramatu Prayer Day was birthed in 2018 through the burden of Pastor Ukuli after he attended a similar programme in a neighbouring kingdom. He shared the vision with other ministers who embraced it to establish a common altar to seek God's face for peace, unity, divine restoration, protection, blessings and prosperity of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

In an interview, Pastor Ukuli described the 2026 edition as the best so far.

"This is the best so far, but the best is yet to come," he declared.

He said his expectation after the prayers is massive salvation, breakthrough, divine recognition and transformation for Gbaramatu.

"Places that have not been known before will be known. Men, women and children will be converted to Jesus Christ. No more delay in Gbaramatu Kingdom after this programme."

He noted the unprecedented crowd as a sign of what is to come, adding that despite heavy rainfall during the programme, worshippers refused to leave.

"Yesterday evening alone, we had over 2,000 people. We have never witnessed that kind of crowd. Last year we killed one cow, this year we killed two. The boats used for evangelism have also increased. We went round the whole of Gbaramatu Kingdom for rally with trumpets and drums. Great things have already happened," he said.

Pastor Ukuli also revealed that one of the key prayer points was the construction of the road from Warri to Gbaramatu Kingdom, expressing faith that after this edition, the contract would be fully approved and construction would commence.

The theme was expounded by anointed ministers including Rev. Dr. (Prof.) Samuel Brobor JP+, Pastor Lucky Okparabenyo, Rev. Samson Abuja and other men of God.

The programme also featured soul-lifting ministrations from renowned gospel artists such as King Golipat, Evang. Youpele Yola, Rev. MJ Azapere, Pastor Poye Praise-God, JJ Godgift, Denyefa Sax and Minister Faith Piniki.
