Breaking: Okolosi Sworn In as Udu State Constituency Representative in Delta Assembly

Hon. Arthur Okolosi has been sworn in as the new member representing Udu State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

The swearing-in followed the successful conduct of the Udu State Constituency bye-election on September 19, 2026, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in which Okolosi emerged winner.

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, administered the Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Membership on Okolosi during Tuesday’s plenary, in accordance with the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, and the Standing Orders of the House.

While welcoming the new lawmaker, Speaker Guwor congratulated Hon. Okolosi on his successful election and subsequent inauguration into the Assembly.

He assured the member of the cooperation of the House, urging him to work with his colleagues in advancing legislation and initiatives that would promote the development and wellbeing of the people of Udu State Constituency and Delta State at large.

Okolosi’s swearing-in follows his emergence as the winner of the Udu State Constituency bye-election conducted by INEC on September 19, 2026.

The seat became vacant following the declaration of the Udu State Constituency seat vacant by the Delta State House of Assembly on July 30, 2026, paving the way for the bye-election.

The new lawmaker is now expected to take his place among other members of the eighth Delta State House of Assembly and contribute to legislative activities representing the interests and aspirations of his constituents.
