Warri journalists get mobility lift as ManRoy, Tantita donates bus

ManRoy Global Services Limited in partnership with Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited have donated a brand new 18-seater bus to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Warri Correspondents' Chapel to aid the mobility of members of the Union. 

The donation was witnessed by media veteran, the Ovie of the Great Idjerhe Kingdom, HRM. King Monday Obikohwo Whiskey PhD at the company's office along DSC Expressway in Udu Local Government Area. 

In his remark, ManRoy's Managing Director, Mr. Collins Okorie said the company presented the bus to the union because of its collaboration with them and its operating partners,Tantita. 

He said they (ManRoy) want to handover the keys of the vehicle to aid the journalists in their works. According to him,"You know in society without journalism, information will not be disseminated. 

"So, you are important part of the society and without you there is no society. Same with us there is no society once again welcome you all."

The Administration Manager, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Princess Daisy Jaja said the decion to donate the 18-seater bus to the NUJ is in line with Tantita's policies to help the body with mobility especially if they have events.

Princess Jaja said, "it's always very hard to get pockets of people in different vehicles. But if they are in their bus, they will go together and come back together. 

She noted that Tantita has a good relationship with the NUJ Warri Correspondents' Chapel and has built a beffiting Secretariat for the Pen Union.

 "It's a very big feat that our partners, Manroy imagined and kept it quiet. So, we pray that the bus helps in every angle it's suppose to and that fuel money nor go be problem so we thank you all for coming". 

In a remark, the Ovie of Great Idjerhe. Kingdom, HRM. King Monday Obukohwo Whiskey PhD thanked ManRoy Global Services and Tantita for the donation of the 18-seater bus to the NUJ Warri and urged them to sustain the existing relationship and collaboration. 

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Warri Correspondents' Chapel, Okakuro Akpokona Omafuaire appreciated the Management of Tantita Security Services and ManRoy Global Services for the gesture. 

"We are happy you have increased our propensity to do our jobs.  Driving that vechicle alone everywhere is a campaign for Tantita and Manroy, we will drive it and use it to campaign for the Company's support everywhere.  So, thank you so much on behalf of my members we are so grateful to Tantita we are so grateful to Manroy, we are so grateful."

Omafuaire also appealed to the Management of ManRoy to continue to open its doors to the union for more collaboration/partnership.

Earlier, Mr. Silver Ofugara welcomed members of the NUJ and the traditional ruler to ManRoy's office for the donation.
