Hon. Obas Appreciates Ovie of Agbarha-Otor, his people Over Support Given Him During NDC 2027 Primary Election In Delta
A House of Representative Aspirant for Ughelli North/Ughelli South& Udu Federal Constituency,Hon. Johnny Obas today paid a thank you visit to the Ovie of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom, HRM. Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle, Okorefe I and his people for the support they accorded him before,during and after the just concluded primary election of the party held on 30th May, 2026. Hon. Obas was an Aspirant under the platform of the National Democratic Congress,NDC.
HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle, Okorefe I welcomed Hon. Obas and his entourage to his palace.
The reverred monarch expressed happiness and appreciated Hon. Obas for the visit.
Okorefe I said the gesture as a "remarkable"and "uncommon" in Nigerian politics.
Okorefe I noted that it was the first time he had witnessed a politician return to the people after a primary election simply to appreciate them for their support.
He also offered prayers for Hon. Johnny Obas, his entourage and wished them continued success and God's guidance.
Hon. Obas founder of Obas Movement for Good Governance shortly after, spoke at a town hall where he also adopted Agbarha-Otor as his second home.
According to Hon. Obas,“I have adopted Agbarha-Otor as my second community and home, and I am fully committed to continuing to support the sons and daughters of Agbarha to grow politically, in business, socially, and in every other area of life.”
Pastor Ejenavi Austen who spoke on behalf of Agbarha-Otor people expressed gratitude and surprise over the gesture, describing it as something they had never witnessed in the history of politics in the community.
The Cleric appreciated Hon. Johnny Obas for remembering the people even after the election and for returning to say THANK YOU.
The Town Hall was filled with enthusiastic supporters, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement, appreciation, and celebration.
