The Nigerian Army’s 6 Division will on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 commission a newly completed 60-unit one-bedroom officers’ transit accommodation at Port Harcourt Barracks, built through the corporate social responsibility intervention of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, TSSNL.

In a letter signed by Brigadier General D.E. Adamu for the General Officer Commanding, 6 Division, the Army conveyed appreciation to TSSNL for facilitating the project to address accommodation shortages within the barracks.

The 60-unit facility was constructed at No. 1 Refivie Close, DDPA Effuru, Port Harcourt, and is designed to provide short-term lodging for officers on transit, training, or temporary duty. Army authorities said the project will significantly ease pressure on existing barracks accommodation and improve welfare for personnel.

“The General Officer Commanding extends sincere appreciation to Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and the entire staff for this kind gesture in line with your corporate social responsibility,” the letter stated.

Tantita Security Services, a private security and surveillance firm active in the Niger Delta, has been involved in pipeline protection and community security initiatives. The Port Harcourt Barracks project marks one of its direct interventions in military welfare infrastructure.

The commissioning ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Port Harcourt Barracks. The Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has been invited as Special Guest of Honour.
