2027: APC chieftain, Theo Mukoro lauds Omo-Agege’s Declaration to contest for Senate
A founding leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ofuoma Community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Olorogun Theo Mukoro has expressed appreciation to former Deputy President of the Senate, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege, for declaring his intention to contest for the Delta Central Senatorial seat in 2027.
In the early hours of Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Omo-Agege officially announced his bid to return to the Senate.
His declaration follows repeated calls from Urhobo leaders and stakeholders urging him to seek a return to the Senate in 2027.
Reacting to the announcement, Theo Mukoro, a close associate and strong supporter of Omo-Agege, issued a statement thanking him for responding to the appeals of the Urhobo people.
“Thank you, Your Excellency, for answering the clarion call of Delta Central and Deltans to return to the Senate,” Mukoro said.
“Urhobo must be great again. We are grateful for this bold decision, sir. Our voice must be heard loud and clear.”
The declaration has reportedly sparked widespread excitement across the Delta Central Senatorial District, with many expressing optimism about the 2027 elections.
