Uwatse applauds National Assembly vote of confidence in Tantita
Engr. Samson Uwatse, Tantita Coordinator covering Warri River, Ugbodede Community, and sections of the Trans-Forcados pipeline, has commended the National Assembly for passing a vote of confidence in Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, calling it a vital boost for pipeline security efforts.
The endorsement was issued during a Parliamentary Roundtable on pipeline security and crude oil theft, where the Joint Committees on Petroleum Resources recognized Tantita’s role in safeguarding national oil assets.
“There is hope for Nigerians. This shows the National Assembly is actively engaged and responsive to the needs of our communities,” Uwatse said.
He described Tantita as a key partner in protecting pipelines and promoting safe operations across the Niger Delta, noting that the firm’s work has helped secure oil facilities and sustain crude oil production.
Uwatse called for stronger collaboration among security agencies, host communities, and private surveillance firms, stressing that sustained teamwork is critical to building on current gains.
Stakeholders have welcomed the National Assembly’s endorsement, viewing it as a decisive step toward curbing oil theft and strengthening Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
