Flowers for Governor Oborevwori - Enewaridideke Ekanpou

Ennoblement, recognition and appreciation are prized occasional regurgitations from man that echo satisfaction with services rendered by another. These signals of satisfaction, usually  registered at appointed times, do fertilise the soil for more productive engagements. It is the tested talisman that attracts rapid development to every land.

A man is usually ennobled when his performance transcends normal expectations. An ennobled person receives a bouquet of flowers from admirers. When the ennobled person sees flowers of ennoblement and appreciation, he feels instinctively inspired to soar higher in developmental altitude. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State is the recipient of flowers of ennoblement, recognition and appreciation. These flowers from impassioned hearts of recognition and appreciation are always given to Governor Oborevwori wherever he goes. 

The governor of Delta State has become the receiver of endless stream of ennoblement flowers from all Deltans, particularly, his hitherto harsh critics. In fact, the hitherto harsh critics of the Delta State Governor have become his loudest choirs, filling every available space with skillfully composed songs of hosannas. What an irony of life this is?

Governor Oborevwori was in Bomadi on 17 March 2026 to commission the impressively rehabilitated Ohoror-Bomadi Road of 31 kilometres. It was an amazing chorus of praises for him, characteristically followed by flowers of ennoblement, recognition and appreciation. For Bomadians, Governor Oborevwori is a special breed committed to developmental recognition; for Bomadians, the multiplication, proliferation and longevity of the likes of Oborevwori should be prayerfully invoked. Such prayerful invocations can guarantee his presence in any position of authority as long as the people wish until the constitution speaks otherwise. 

Captivated by Oborevwori's overwhelming performance in office, his harsh critics have become thin on the ground -  now frantically scrambling for space to globalise his story of rapid infrastructural development of Delta State.When one's hitherto harsh critics become passionate praise singers, the portents are beneficial. For Governor Oborevwori his path to any path is already paved with supportive stones that rule out any slippery sway -  even if carefully planned and bankrolled from any part of the universe by politically envious men.

Always, flowers of ennoblement flood the path of Governor Oborevwori. This phenomenon originates from the policy thrust of the governor.The developmental vision of the governor is audaciously pursued without discrimination. In Oborevwori's visionary dance of development one can clearly see a simultaneous activation of educational advancement and infrastructural development. Strategically, the governor does not pursue his vision of infrastructural development alone without a thought spare for educational growth.The ongoing  payment of bursary awards to students of Delta State origin in tertiary institutions and the approval for the construction of  male and female hostels for nine state-owned higher institutions in the state point to a creative blend of educational advancement and infrastructural development in the commendable governance style of  the Delta State Governor. Even within the developmentally  compacted space of the newly approved Okerenkoko-Omadino Road with 29 bridges that would draw on the collaborative energies and resources of Chevron, NDDC and  Delta State, the ongoing Ayakoromo bridge, the newly approved Torugbene-Ojobo Road and others ongoing and completed, it would be infantile to argue that Governor Oborevwori is the Pope of educational and infrastructural development whose art of governance must be deliberately studied and mastered as a guide for future leaders. Oborevwori's world of governance is preponderated by actions of performance but deserted by words that mould promises with clay bound to disappear imperceptibly until it is no more like mud dwindling inside a river, yet vocally categorical in assurance that it is coming.

Governor Oborevwori must have had a surfeit of ennoblement flowers flooding his world. To be flooded with flowers of ennoblement, recognition and appreciation without solicitation tells a great story of achievement and performance likely to guarantee a comfortable political future. There are undeniable portents that Governor Oborevwori must not campaign for re-election in Delta State. The development projects that proliferate here and there like seeds on a good soil have already campaigned vigorously for him. For Oborevwori there shall be no campaign jingles and campaign team in 2027 because the business of campaign had long been transacted and concluded by his endless stream of development projects in Delta State. This is attested to by the flowers of ennoblement,  recognition and appreciation passionately thrown on his path wherever he goes in Delta State. The latest of this phenomenon of popularity was the historic one in Bomadi where he was decorated with flowers of ennoblement, recognition and appreciation during the commissioning of Ohoror-Bomadi Road on 17 March 2026.
