The Delta State Police Command has raised alarm over disturbing viral videos from Oramudu Quarters in Ozoro, which reportedly show the sexual assault and molestation of young women during a local event in Isoko North Local Government Area.

In a statement issued on Friday, March 20, 2026, the Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, said the Command views the incident with serious concern, describing the acts as “criminal, inhumane, and a gross violation of the fundamental rights and dignity of the victims.”

Following the circulation of the videos, the Commissioner of Police, Aina Adesola, ordered an immediate and full-scale investigation into the incident.

Police authorities confirmed that the chief organiser of the event, Omorede Sunday, along with four other suspects, has been arrested in connection with the case.

The Commissioner further directed that the matter be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a more detailed and comprehensive probe.

According to the Command, tactical and investigative teams have been deployed with a clear mandate to identify, apprehend, and prosecute all individuals involved in the alleged assault.

The police also called on members of the public, particularly victims and eyewitnesses, to come forward with relevant information to support the ongoing investigation, assuring that all submissions will be handled with strict confidentiality and professionalism.

Reiterating its stance, the Command assured residents that it remains committed to justice, stressing that all those found culpable will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
