Three children kidnapped in Ebonyi

There was tension in Nwezenyi, Igbeagu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State following the kidnap of three children from the same parents by suspected child trafficker in the area.

It was gathered that a yet to be identified young lady rented an apartment and after two days of packing into the compound, disappeared with the three children when their parents were not around. 

A resident of the area who identified himself as Chidi said that the incident happened during the weekend when the lady arrived the premises. 

He gave the names of the stolen children as  Favour, Obinna, Kamso Okeoha who were reportedly kidnapped on Saturday.

"We are still in shock over what happened. The young lady rented this apartment on Thursday, packed into the house on Friday just to kidnap the three children on Saturday.

“And because she stayed for only a day, her identity is not known”, he stated.

Another resident said, “you can see how she painted and even wrote one love just to deceive others living in the compound that she is a lovely person, we are still speechless over what happened”.

The State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO SP,Joshua Ukandu when contacted said he was not aware of the matter.

He promised to get across to the divisional police officer in charge of the area to ascertain the level of  investigation and efforts to rescue the children and arrest the suspect.
