Delta Speaker calls for continued supports for Oborevwori
The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dennis Emomotimi Guwor has on Friday called on journalists for more support of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori government and MORE Agenda.
The Speaker made the call during a courtesy visit by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Nkem Nweke when he paid a courtesy visit to the newly built Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Warri Correspondents' Chapel (High Chief (Dr.) Oweizide Government Ekpemupolo Press Centre).
The Speaker congratulated the union for having a permanent Secretariat built and furnished by TANTITA Security Services Nigeria Limited,TSSNL.
The Chief Press Secretary was received by members of the Chapel led by Comrade Victor Okpomor who conducted him round the facility.
Addressing the Journalists, Nweke said,"I want to congratulate you for your new Secretariat. You cannot tell the Story of TANTITA without even mentioning my boss. name. He wants to see what his brother has done.
"I also congratulate the government on our side and the private sector. By the grace of God, what TANTITA did here will encourage others."
Nweke also appealed to Journalists in the State to give Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his boss, Speaker of the House of Assembly,RT.Emomotimi Dennis Guwor the continued supports needed for them to succeeded in this administration.
According to him,"I want to on behalf of my boss appeal for your continued supports. You cannot support the Speaker without supporting his boss.
"I also solicit the maximum supports to His Excellency. He is developing the State. What he needs is our prayers and supports."
Nweke noted that the media has a great role to play in shaping the mindsets of the public.
Those present included, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, Immediate past Chairman of NUJ Delta State, Okakuro Akpokona Omafuaire, Immediate past Chairman of Warri Correspondents Chapel, Comrade Edeki Igafe, Secretary Warri correspondents chapel and others.
