Guwor Hails Ogulagha Monarch on 20th Coronation Anniversary

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, congratulates the Ebenanawei of Ogulagha Kingdom, HRM Elder Capt. King Joseph Timiyan, Torububou I, on the celebration of his 20th coronation anniversary, predicting greater unity and prosperity for the oil-rich kingdom in the years ahead.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker commended the monarch’s two decades of visionary leadership, describing his reign as one marked by peace, progress, and enduring cultural pride.

Guwor noted that under King Timiyan’s leadership, Ogulagha Kingdom had witnessed remarkable development and strengthened communal harmony, making the traditional ruler a symbol of unity and stability in Burutu Local Government Area and beyond.

“On behalf of my constituents and the Delta State House of Assembly, I congratulate His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. King Joseph Timiyan, Torububou I, on this remarkable milestone of 20 years on the throne,” Guwor said.

“Two decades of purposeful reign reflect his commitment to peace, unity, and the promotion of Ogulagha’s rich cultural heritage,” he added.

The Speaker, who also serves as National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, lauded the monarch’s contributions to fostering development and safeguarding the welfare of his people.

He prayed for the king’s continued good health, divine wisdom, and long life to steer the kingdom toward greater achievements.

"he majestic king, whose presence is as commanding as his authority, deserves every blessing to continue his noble service to his people,” Guwor said. “May God grant him the grace to rule in peace and strength.”

Guwor also congratulated the people of Ogulagha Kingdom on the anniversary, urging them to sustain their loyalty and support for their royal father as he continues to guide them with wisdom and foresight.
