Oborevwori to flag off construction of 11.7km Okpanam–Ugbolu road Tuesday
Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is set to flag off the construction of the 11.725-kilometre Okpanam–Ugbolu Road on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday in Asaba by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon.
According to Ahon, the flag-off ceremony will take place at Ugbolu by 10:00 a.m. He noted that the project reflects the Oborevwori administration’s strong commitment to enhancing road infrastructure and improving connectivity within the Asaba capital territory.
Ahon further stated that the Okpanam–Ugbolu Road would open up new economic and residential corridors, ease traffic congestion, and foster socio-economic interaction between the two fast-growing communities.
He urged residents of Okpanam, Ugbolu, and surrounding areas to come out in large numbers for the event, describing the project as another clear demonstration of Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda and his resolve to deliver quality infrastructure across Delta State.
