Bishop Charles Ikpaka Amabiye passes on

The Amabiye family has announced the passing of Bishop Prt. Charles Ikpaka Amabiye, founder of New Jerusalem City Zion, Amatu II Community, Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

Bishop Amabiye, a respected clergyman, father, grandfather, and community leader, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Known for his life of faith, service, and leadership, he established the New Jerusalem City Zion in Amatu II and was widely regarded as a spiritual father and mentor to many within and beyond the community.

According to the family, details of the burial arrangements will be announced later.

The announcement was signed by Engr. Samson Charles Ikpaka, for the children.
