IPMAN Orders Members to Register with Dangote Refinery Ahead of Direct Fuel Supply
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has directed all its members who are yet to register with the Dangote Refinery to do so immediately, as the facility begins direct fuel supply on Monday, September 15, 2025.
The directive was contained in a memo jointly signed by IPMAN’s National President, Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi Shettima, and National Secretary, Hon. James Terlumun Tor, and circulated to all zonal and depot chairmen.
According to the association, members who have already completed their registration with Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Company Limited should proceed with immediate payments for fuel products ahead of supply commencement.
The statement read in part:
"The National Executive Committee (NEC) of IPMAN… is pleased to inform members who have renewed their IPMAN membership registration in line with the IPMAN 2009 Constitution (as amended) that payment, loading, and supply of petroleum products at the Dangote Refinery have commenced.
“IPMAN members who have already registered… are directed to resume immediate payment… Be informed that on Monday, 15th September 2025, the company will commence product loading and supply directly to buyers’ locations within the country.
“Interested members who are yet to register… are urged to proceed with their registrations without delay.”
The move is expected to expand direct access to refined petroleum products for independent marketers nationwide, reducing reliance on intermediaries and strengthening the distribution network.
Industry observers say the development could help ease supply bottlenecks, stabilize fuel availability, and potentially improve pump price competition across the country.
