The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) was thrown into mourning on Monday following the sudden death of its Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Grace Adayilo a historic figure and the first indigene of Abuja to hold the position.

Multiple sources confirmed that Adayilo collapsed unexpectedly in the early hours of the day. Her death came as a shock to colleagues and the wider Abuja community, as she had shown no prior signs of illness.

Insiders disclosed that Adayilo had attended a church service the previous Sunday, where she not only participated fully but made generous donations to the congregation which further deepens the mystery surrounding her sudden passing.

“There was nothing unusual about her,” one source close to the family said. “She was in high spirits at church, laughing, giving, just her usual graceful self.”

The Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Mr. Lere Olayinka, confirmed the development with a brief statement: “She has passed on".

Tributes have begun pouring in for Adayilo, who was widely respected for her leadership and dedication to civil service reform in the capital territory. Questions now linger as authorities and close associates seek clarity on the circumstances surrounding her death.
