Breaking: Fatal Accident Near Ekpan Shrine Leaves Several Dead, Others Injured

Tragedy struck on Sunday evening near the Ekpan Shrine in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, as a car accident claimed multiple lives, including women and children, while leaving several others critically injured.

Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred when the female driver of the vehicle, whose identity is being withheld, mistakenly stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake. The impact reportedly led to devastating casualties in the busy area.

The driver, who is currently receiving medical treatment, is said to be taking responsibility for the medical expenses of the victims. Some of the victims are in General Hospital while some in other Hospitals, Police authorities have since waded into the matter, with investigations ongoing.

Reports indicate that while some victims died on the spot, others were left in a coma or sustained life-threatening injuries and have been rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
