Tantita Launches Capacity Building Training for Enhanced Pipeline Security

Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) in collaboration with Top Private Security Services Limited on Tuesday delivered a comprehensive Capacity Building Training program for personnels from TSSNL and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The 3-day training, held in Warri, Delta State, aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants in protecting critical national infrastructure, particularly pipelines.
PEBNEWS reports that the primary objective of the training is to equip participants with the necessary expertise to effectively safeguard pipelines and support Nigeria's oil production goals. By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing between TSSNL and NSCDC personnel, the training seeks to promote a more robust and coordinated approach to pipeline security.
Speaking with the press, Roland Isereke, who represented Capt. Warredi Enisuoh, head of technical, Tantita said, "We all want to improve ourselves, and that is why Tantita in conjunction with Top Security firm has been able to come up with this idea by doing a capacity building training, by telling our men in the field what they should expect and what they should do, how to improve output in the field, for them to follow the laid down rules in the field.
"Nobody should come and tamper with the pipelines. That is what we're doing. And we've been on the major pipelines since 2022 to date. And so majorly, it's to give security cover as a private security firm in conjunction with the NSCDC. The collaboration with the NSCDC is wonderful, it's fantastic because we have them everywhere, collaborated with us day and night, they are with us and embedded in the operation.
"Our research achievements is we've been able to move the daily production, close to 2 million, and our target as Tantita is to take it beyond 2 million before the end of this year," he stated.
Speaking further, Fidelis Lory, Tantita Coordinator, covering Opumami and Obodo Cluster, has praised the company's initiative to organize a capacity building training for its personnel.
Meanwhile, Commodore Nisiama Omatseye, vice chairman Top Private Security Services Limited said, "The first one we had was very successful and beneficial, and they decided to do a second one for those who were not available due to operational reasons in the first one. It's going to cover legal implications, legal frameworks that cover the protection of critical national infrastructure, especially pipelines.
"It deals with how to also manage conflict with host communities that these pipelines crisscrosses. It deals with coordination between security agencies, private security contractors, and even community security vigilantes and bodies.
"So we want a situation where there will be better coordination, reduction or complete elimination of suspicion in operations, and making people to be aware that they will be responsible for their actions or inactions," he stated.
