Delta State Taskforce on Human Trafficking Releases Whistleblower Hotlines, Assures Identity Protection

The Delta State Taskforce Against Human Trafficking and Irregular Migration has released official hotlines and email addresses for victims and whistleblowers to report suspected trafficking activities, promising swift response and strict confidentiality.
The Taskforce, chaired by the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ekemejero Owhovoriole, SAN, made the announcement on Friday as part of the state government’s zero-tolerance campaign against human trafficking.

The Taskforce office is also open to walk-in reports at: Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, State Ministry of Justice, 26B Ogbolu Onuwka Street (SSS Road), Asaba.
Owhovoriole stressed that prosecuting traffickers will be challenging without timely reporting from the public. He urged residents to report any suspected cases, including illegal adoptions or the sale of babies, to the provided contacts.
"The fight against human trafficking depends on the courage of victims and good citizens to speak up. We assure everyone who comes forward that their identity will be fully protected,” the Chairman said.
The Taskforce reiterated its commitment to eradicating trafficking in persons in Delta State and called for collective action to safeguard vulnerable individuals from exploitation.
