Delta State Police Command Recovers ₦8.5M Ransom, 18 Arms, Arrests 211 Suspects in July — CP Abaniwonda

The Delta State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has released a summary of its operational achievements for the month of July 2025.
Speaking during a press briefing, CP Abaniwonda highlighted key statistics showcasing the command’s ongoing efforts to combat crime and improve security across the state.
According to the Commissioner:
Arms Recovered: 18
Ammunition and Cartridges Recovered: 359
Ransom Recovered: ₦8,500,000
Laptops and Mobile Phones Recovered: 378
Suspects Arrested: 211
CP Abaniwonda commended officers and units involved in the operations and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
"These results reflect our sustained pressure on criminal elements and our resolve to make Delta State safer for all,” he said.
The Commissioner also appealed to members of the public to continue supporting the police with credible information, emphasizing that community partnership remains key to effective policing.
