Tantita Coordinator Slams Allegations as Malicious Smear Campaign, Defends Tompolo’s Legacy

Yerin Johnbo Ekriyan, Coordinator of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in the Bilabiri Mein Kingdom, has strongly refuted recent online allegations targeting the company and its leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.
Ekriyan described the claims circulated in a report titled "Bilabiri Fights Back Against Tantita Security Firm’s Alleged Overreach"—as baseless, malicious, and a calculated attempt to distort facts and damage the firm’s reputation.
The report was attributed to Paebi Samson, who claims to be the General Secretary of Bilabiri Mein Kingdom. Ekriyan, however, dismissed Samson’s allegations as “a transparent ploy rooted in lies, blackmail, and desperation.”
"These accusations are fabricated and aimed solely at discrediting the tremendous progress Tantita has made in safeguarding the Niger Delta and promoting peace,” Ekriyan stated. “I reject them in totality and call for a thorough, independent investigation."
Responding directly to claims of intimidation, resource control, and interference in local community affairs, Ekriyan emphasized that Tantita has never overstepped its security mandate.
"We do not meddle in internal community matters. The allegations lack specifics, contain no credible evidence, and fail to present supporting documents or witness accounts. They are pure fiction,” he said.
He also condemned the petition submitted by Samson to the Chief of Defence Staff, describing it as misleading and politically motivated.
Addressing matters of community engagement, Ekriyan cited a specific incident on November 30, 2024, involving a call from Hon. Akpos Semode, Tantita’s Community Relations Manager, to the then Bilabiri chairman, Tekenane Abaka. The call was intended to facilitate community support payments, but according to Ekriyan, it was met with hostility and abruptly cut short.
Ekriyan expressed disappointment over the alleged involvement of two current Tantita staff members Tekenane Abaka and Ebimene Abaka (also known as "Small Fire") in the campaign to undermine the company. Ebimene currently serves as Assistant Coordinator in Bilabiri.
"If true, their actions amount to sabotage from within. It’s troubling to see current employees potentially working against an organization dedicated to protecting national infrastructure.”
Ekriyan also refuted any links between Tantita and Renaissance Africa Energy Company Ltd., asserting that no subcontracting or operational partnership exists.
He rejected suggestions that Tompolo is building a personal empire through Tantita’s work, calling the narrative “a gross misrepresentation.”
Under Tompolo’s leadership, Tantita has established a legacy of integrity, peacebuilding, and security in the region. We’ve earned community trust and continue to collaborate transparently for mutual benefit.”
In closing, Ekriyan urged the Chief of Defence Staff and relevant authorities to focus on facts and integrity rather than politically charged accusations.
"Tantita Security Services remains fully open to any investigation. We are confident that our work will stand up to scrutiny and that the truth will vindicate us.
