Breaking- Alleged drug smuggling: Group urges IGP to investigate, prosecute Ayiri Emami's brother

A group under the auspices of Ijaw People's Development Initiative, IPDI has called on the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun and other Security agencies in the Country especially the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA to investigate one Emami Ajetsibogho, younger brother to controversial Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayirimi Emami who was said to be arrested by security agencies over alleged drug smuggling into the Country.
IPDI National President, Comrade Austin Ozobo made the call in a statement sent to Our Correspondent in Warri. He insisted that the law should take its cause.
The group said, "The drugs may be meant for Itsekiris miscreants to fight Ijaw people."
The group pointed that a briish soldier was arrested by security agents for alleged gun-running stressing that a prominent traditional ruler recently was fingered in the matter.
According to the group, "Ijaws are the target of all these criminal activities. It is our God that is exposing them.
"The Ijaws are not pleased that the security agents are playing politics with such critical issues that threatened the existence of Ijaw people in Delta State.
"It is my advice that the government of Delta State should play an important role in prosecuting suspects of these high profile criminals."
Various social media platforms had reported that one Emami Ajetsibogho, younger brother of Chief Ayirimi Emami was arrested in Apapa, Lagos State in connection with the smuggling of drugs worth billions naira at Apapa, Lagos by Security agents.
A powerful politician in Delta State was allegedly given the sum of two hundred #200m) million naira to allegedly bribe the security agents to sweep the matter under the carpet. The money was rejected by the security agents.
