As he marks the second anniversary of his administration, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reiterated his unwavering commitment to prioritizing the collective interest of the state, despite ongoing political turbulence.

In a statement released on AIT.live, Governor Fubara emphasized that his leadership has remained focused and resilient, guided by the oath he took to uphold the values of good governance and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Rivers State.

“Even in the face of political headwinds that have, at times, slowed our pace, we have stayed the course. I remain steadfast and focused, anchored by the solemn oath I swore to protect and promote the common good of our dear state,” Fubara stated.

Reflecting on the progress made over the past two years, the governor highlighted key achievements across several sectors—including healthcare, education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and human capital development. He also underscored efforts to strengthen gender inclusion in governance.

“I am proud of the meaningful milestones we’ve reached,” he said, “and these accomplishments would not have been possible without the trust, support, and sacrifices of the good people of Rivers State.”

Governor Fubara acknowledged the backing of the public as a source of strength, encouraging him to press forward with a renewed focus on reconciliation, peacebuilding, and development.

“Your support emboldens me to continue working tirelessly to restore normalcy and deliver impactful programs, transformational infrastructure, and life-changing services across every part of our state,” he noted.

Looking ahead, the governor expressed optimism about building a state that sets the standard for excellence across Nigeria. “Together, we can create a Rivers State we are proud to call home—a model for others to emulate,” he added.

As the state reflects on its journey over the last two years, Governor Fubara called on all parties involved in the political crisis to embrace peace and unity for the sake of progress.

“This is a defining moment. Now is the time to rise above divisions, heal old wounds, and work together for the development of our beloved state,” he appealed.
