BREAKING: I Never Declared Support for The Presidential Candidate" — Wike Clears the Air

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has distanced himself from claims that he will endorse any presidential candidate during the general elections.

Speaking during a media parley in Abuja on Monday, Wike stated firmly: “I never said I will support the presidential candidate.” The remark was in response to ongoing speculation about his role in the elections and his political allegiance.

Wike also took a swipe at political developments in Delta State, alleging that the state’s governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, recently defected from the PDP in a calculated move to secure re-election in 2027.

The former Rivers State governor, who was a central figure in the influential G5 group of governors, has long been at the center of political discourse over his perceived support for President Bola Tinubu despite being a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
