Egbo reiterates commitment to providing instructional materials to schools in Ughelli North

Ughelli North Local Government Council Chairman, Olorogun (Barr.) Jaro Movudu Egbo Ksc has restated his commitment to improving education insisting that education is not a scam and must not be undermined.

The Council Chairman noted that education should be prioritized for nation-building.

The learned Chairman made this call yesterday during an unscheduled visit to Ekiugbo Grammar School to assess the school conditions, over video clips received from highly respected personnel, over the school's shabby state, due to vandalization.

Egbo reiterated his unwavering commitment to providing all necessary educational materials to support educational enhancement across the local government area.

According to him, "I have seen the vandalization done to the school which resulted in lacking of basic infrastructure. I am going to ensure that across Ughelli North, our schools have everything needed to build the future of our children.

"In line with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, we are determined to do more in all sectors including education.

"By tomorrow, I will bring in desks and other materials for learning and will further ensure that whatever is needed to make learning easy is provided." He stated.

He urged community stakeholders and leaders to collaborate in monitoring and protecting government-established schools and emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in safeguarding educational infrastructure in the council area.

Egbo stressed the need for community stakeholders to be actively involved in protecting schools, highlighting the role of Community leaders in promoting education.
