The Delta State Government has hosted a dinner in honour of participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 18, 2025, from the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Bwari, Abuja, following the successful completion of their study tour of the state.

Held at the Unity Hall, Government House in Asaba, the event brought together top government officials, with the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu, represented by Chief Edwin Uzor, Special Adviser to the Governor on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, in attendance.

Speaking on behalf of the SSG, Chief Uzor highlighted the significance of the study tour as an integral part of the EIMC curriculum, expressing delight that Delta State was selected for this academic engagement. He noted that the tour offered mutual benefits, especially through the insights and findings the participants would gather for the state’s development.

He further stated that the participants’ visits to various institutions, including security agencies and local government offices, as well as their interactions with stakeholders during ministerial briefings, had enriched their research efforts. He emphasized that the dinner was organized as a gesture of appreciation and to provide an opportunity for the team to unwind after a busy schedule.

Leader of the EIMC 18 delegation, Mr. Hyginus Ngele, in his remarks, applauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the strides in infrastructure and the prevailing peace and hospitality experienced throughout their stay. He also conveyed gratitude on behalf of the team for the warm reception and assured that the final research report, including their recommendations, would be shared with the state government.

The evening featured captivating cultural performances and the presentation of souvenirs by the Delta State Government to the visiting scholars, marking a vibrant close to their time in the state.
