From Homelessness to Hope: Visually Impaired Comedian Kellyblind Gifted ₦70 Million Home by Tantita Security Services

In a heartwarming act of generosity, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has gifted a ₦70 million four-bedroom duplex to popular visually impaired comedian Kelly Igberhi, widely known as Kellyblind.
The official handover took place on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Tantita’s Head Office in Bendel Estate, Ugborikoko, Delta State. The gift not only marks the fulfillment of a promise but also represents a life-changing moment for the comedian, who has endured years of hardship.
Kellyblind’s journey has been one of resilience and perseverance. He lost his sight at the age of 11 due to measles, yet he defied the odds, using comedy as a means of survival and self-expression. However, his struggles intensified when his home in Lagos was demolished by the Lagos State Government on July 25, 2018, leaving him homeless.
Despite his challenges, he continued to perform, using humor to uplift others even as he faced personal difficulties.
His life took a dramatic turn in November 2024 at the TenTen Concert at KFT Place, where he met Engr. Kestin Pondi, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services. Moved by his story and talent, Engr. Pondi publicly pledged to buy him a house—a promise that has now been fulfilled.
At the handover ceremony, Mr. Godfrey Tare Pondi, General Manager (Operations) of Tantita Security Services, presented the house documents to Kellyblind on behalf of Engr. Kestin Pondi. He emphasized that the company’s mission extends beyond securing oil pipelines—it is equally committed to protecting lives and supporting talents.

Kellyblind, overcome with emotion, expressed deep gratitude, recalling how his life changed with one encounter.
Kellyblind’s wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Igberhi, also shared her heartfelt appreciation, admitting that she initially doubted the promise.
"When my husband told me about the promise, I thought it was just words. But today, I see that Engr. Pondi is truly a man of his word. This is more than a house—it’s a new beginning for our family.”
