New Vice Chancellor of FUPRE emerges

New Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun has emerged. He is no other person but Prof Ezekiel Ogheneyerovwo Agbalagba. Prof. Agbalagba takes over from the outgoing Vice Chancellor of the institution, Engr Prof Akpofure Rim-Rukeh. In press briefing on Friday, the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Govenornig Council, Engr Issa Bello Gachi said, the University Govenornig Council had 39 persons who applied for the position but Prof Ezekiel Ogheneyerovwo Agbalagba was chosen and appointed by the Govenornig Council. According to him, Prof Agbalagba was chosen after a careful deliberation. 

He said:" following  thorough evaluation process, 39 people were shortlisted for interview and presented to the Governing Council for consideration and approval, after a careful deliberation, Prof E. O  Agbalagba emerged the VC and the Council  formally approved his appointment."

According to Engr Gachi, Prof. Agbalagba is chosen as a result of his academic prowess and leadership quality, a man fit to govern the enviable institution of higher learning.
 

In a brief interview on how he feels as he  handovers  the baton of  leadership  of the University  to  incoming VC Chancellor,  the outgoing Vice Chancellor of the institution, Eng. Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh said, he is very  happy adding that,  the  handover process is a  smooth  one as  the Governing Council followed the due process in its selection,  approval and subsequent appointment of the new Vice Chancellor, Prof Agbalagba and expressed joy for everything.
