James Welch Old Boys inaugurate project, preparing for 70th anniversary

The Old Boys Association of the famous James Welch Grammar School, Emevor, Delta State have inaugurated a project built by 78/83 class during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to plan towards their 70th anniversary.
The class of 1978/83 renovated the once dilapidated school gate house into a totally beautiful edifice through renovation.
The commissioning of the project which was done by the President General of the old boys world wide, Dr Philip Esavwede had some of the pioneer students of the college in attendance.
The PG worldwide, commended the class of 1983 for the initiative, just as he charged all other sets to think of similar project for execution in order to keep the school in good state as an educational facility befitting of the contemporary time.
During the AGM, the school Principal, Revd Canon Emmanuel Onoriode Ewhe while appreciating the efforts of the old boys in keeping the school in proper learning shape highlighted some of the current challenges facing the school appealing that urgent steps should be taken to address them.
The President General however, promised to as a matter of necessity do all within their power to keep the school in the standard required of it.
Among those present were: Rt Rev. Vincent Muoghere (rtd) 1957/61 pioneer class; Arc Justus Okan-Avae; Amb Fortune Ezewu; Onoyiwe Johnson and Notoma Jefia Godwin, amongst the oldest of the old boys association.
Meanwhile, ahead of the 70th anniversary of the college, committee was set up to ensure a hitch free anniversary.
