Immortalize Pa Clark, Gbenekama urges FG

High Chief (Dr) Godspower Gbenekama, the Fiyewie of Gbaramatu Kingdom, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian government to immortalize Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark for being the brain behind the existing peace in the Niger Delta region.

Gbenekama made this call yesterday in a statement while mourning the passage of the sage.

He said, "The peace we are all enjoying today in the country was made possible through the Niger Delta leader as he led noted leaders from the region to meet with former president, Muhammadu Buhari and ever since that meeting, Nigerian have been enjoying peace.

"Though I am personally saddened by his transition, I am comforted with the facts that he left behind an unforgettable memories and legacies."
