Yultide: Group commends Pondi, TANTITA Security Services for providing over 25,000 N'Delta youths employment, award conferment

A group under the auspices of TANTITA Security Service Special Volunteer Force (aka Tantita Security Ambassadors) Specially appreciate Tantita Security Limited's Managing Director, High Chief Kestin Pondi, for providing employment to over 25,000 youths from across various Niger Delta ethnic groups and consistently providing humanitarian services and distribution of welfare packages to different communities and groups, especially during the yultide season, thereby demonstrating the company's commitment to social responsibility, community grassroot relationship and community development.

This is contained in a communique signed by Coordinator, Comrade (Engr) Efe Feludu Kwakpovwe, Barr. Andrew Efole Secretary, and Comrade Stanley Umukoro Public Relation Officer, on behalf of Tantita Security Service Special Volunteer Force (aka Tantita Security Ambassadors).

The group also congratulated High Chief(Engr.) Kestin Pondi, on his well deserved recent Award of Excellence for his exceptional humanitarian and community development contributions presented to him during the culmination of the Kurutie Annual Amafinide Uge Festival in recognition of his sustained commitment to community welfare and development initiatives. 

According to the group, "His innovative approach to security management has not only ensured the safety of people and assets but also fostered economic growth and development in the region."

The group listed some of the awards TANTITA Security Services had received under Managing Director of High Chief (Engr) Kestin Pondi amongst others, Vanguard Newspaper’s best security company on Crude Oil Infrastructure Security Award, the Conferment of Meritorious Award on High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) CEO Tantita Security Service Nigeria Limited by National leadership of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ in recognition of his significant contribution to the prevailing peace in the Niger Delta and the success recorded in the war against crude oil theft and pipelines vandalism being spearheaded by Tantita Security Service Nigeria Limited.

The group added that the recent Encomium received by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and NNPCL and the private security agencies, particularly Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) from Stakeholders at the Joint NNPCL and Stakeholders meeting held November, 2024, as NNPCL’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari announced the nation’s crude oil production hitting 1.808 million barrels per day (1.8m bpd) and 7.4 billion standard cubic feet per day (7.4bscfd) of gas production.

"As a group, we are also using this medium to commend the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL for engaging the services of Tantita Security Nigeria Limited and the Nigeria Security agencies with the Office of National Security Adviser to the President for their strong collaboration with Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) a company established by a Niger Delta Activist, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) under the Managing Director of High Chief (Engr) Kestin Pondi - an Engineering and Security Expert, which has resulted in tremendous breakthrough in safeguarding Nigeria vital national assets and resources."

The group noted that by third Quarter of 2022 before engagement of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Nigeria's crude oil production dropped to 939,000 barrels per day and the Countey could no longer meet up with its daily production quota set by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries OPEC due to the activities of vandals and other criminal elements aside causing environmental degradation which hampered the economic activities of the people, hence Nigeria fell downwards in the ranking by OPEC.

TANTITA Security Service Special Ambassadord is made up of over 1000 Volunteers who are past students leaders, youth leaders, oil and gas exploration and production experts, medical professionals, human rights and environmental rights activists from oil producing and Pipeline hosting communities across Niger Delta States working in partnership with Tantita Security Service Nigeria Ltd to carry out aggressive sensitization and enlightenment campaigns against oil theft and pipeline vandalism, environmental pollution and youth restiveness.
