Barr. B.F Yeigagha passes away

Chief Barrister Benjamin Founkoro Yeigagha, a respected member of the legal community from Ayakoromo, Delta State, has tragically passed away at the age of 59. 

According to reports, the renowned chief of Akugbene Mein Kingdom died in a fatal accident that occurred around 7pm on Monday, November 18, 2024.

The accident happened while Barr. Yeigagha was returning home from court, and his vehicle was hit by another car. 

Despite efforts to save his life, he sadly passed away at 4:17am while being rushed to the Lily Clinic in Warri.

According to one of the deceased's sons, Master Godknows Yeigagha, "My dad got accident while coming back home (Oleh) from Court, getting to Emede town in Isoko South Local Government Area of the state, a car eventually hits his vehicle, the driver died instantly, his friend, Newstyle Egirenwareka-emi was fatally injured, while my dad died after efforts to safe his life. 

"Yes, we took him to Mary Matha Hospital in Oleh, we were referred to General Hospital, Ughelli, after a brief attendance they also referred us to Oghara Teaching Hospital due to the situation, but Oghara Teaching Hospital is on strike so they finally referred us to Lily clinic in Warri, but my dad gave up by 4:17am while we were very close to the Lily Clinic in Warri." He said.

The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the community, with friends, family, and colleagues mourning the loss of a dedicated and passionate advocate. 

Barr. Yeigagha will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

While Barr. Yeigagha's 1st son, Yeigagha Solomon, briefly noted that, "May he rest in peace, and may his legacy live on through the countless lives he touched."
