Legionnaire for Mankind's Health set to partner with Pan-African Female Youth Leaders on HPV Vaccine Sensitization.
A Non-governmental organization, Legionnaire for Mankind's Health (LMH), has partnered with Pan-Africa Female Youth Leaders for an awareness initiative on a sensitization programme for human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines at LMH's liaison office in Ekpan.
This initiative aligns with the organization's goals of empowering young women with knowledge.
Mrs. Vera Dekawei, Finance Director of Pan-African Female Youth Leaders, emphasized the organization's commitment to implementing sensitization programmes and empowering young women.
She highlighted the need for active sensitization to eradicate the misconceptions surrounding the efficacy of the HPV vaccine and its role in reducing cancer.
Mrs Dekawei also mentioned that many women lack accurate information on the potential success and impact of the HPV vaccine.She expressed that more educational materials and sensitization efforts are welcome.
The vaccination exercise is scheduled to commence on the 16th and 18th of October 2024 and will include a mop-up exercise with discussions focusing on nutrition and breastfeeding.Responding, Patrick O.
